Homemade Pizza

Yesterday was Pizza night and my girls and I made Homemade pizza's. My girls were so excited to make their own pizza. We have done this before but this time instead of making the crust we used Pita bread. All of them looked good but they didn't all turn out great. LOL
My 11 year old burned hers... My pizza however was GREAT!

Learning How to Color with More Definition

Hjn     💬

I have been using Copic markers since October 2012 and I was doing pretty well with my coloring. But I had come across a few images that I absolutely loved… And it was because of the definition. The funny part about this is most of the images I loved were all from the same person Kit and Clowder. So I posted a image that I had colored on Instagram and in the comment bar I asked my Instagram friends that if any of them knew of a video I could watch that would help me with definition please let me know. One of my Instagram buddies commented and told me about Kit and Clowder. I was so excited! I seen on her website/youtube a lot of the images I had bookmarked. I started right away watching her videos and incorporating her techniques in my coloring. Immediately I saw a difference in my coloring technique and the depth of my coloring. Before my coloring was good but it was flat and had very little definition after watching her videos and applying her coloring techniques the two images I colored look completely different from what I was doing before.
She is an awesome teacher and does very well explaining her techniques!
Here are two before and after images of my coloring...

THE "Over Priced Dress"

So its past my intended bedtime, however late at night is the only time life slows down long enough for me to think...

I love my life, I get to share it with some pretty awesome people!

This morning I got to bask in the moment of "the little things".

It all stared like this:
3 months ago I took my at the time 3 year old, to the Disney Store for her birthday. It was her first time so we let her get any dress and doll she wanted. She picked Cinderella...
She got the "over priced" dress and the cute little doll. She loved every bit of it and wanted to put it on right there in the store and me being as cool as I am, went for it.
Well we come home and she stays in her dress through dinner. Then I had to pry, bribe... No I mean take it off her for bed.
The next morning she hops out of bed and wants to put on her new dress, this time she wants to watch the Cinderella movie in her dress with her doll. So I put the dress and the movie on.
This goes on for weeks (not the movie... thats WAY TOO much TV).
AND THEN IT HAPPENS... the elastic in the strap of the "over priced" dress pops 😪
So apart of me wants to take it back but the store is SO far so I have to sew it. However I'm upset and I don't feel like sewing the dress. So I hang it up, with the thought that I will sew it later... later...
WELL weeks past, and here we are...
I get up this morning ready for life, so I pull the dress down, take it to my craft room and take out my needed supplies. I sew the "over priced" dress and place it on my little girls bed.

Just wait, the good part is coming...
Ilea, thats who this story is about, wakes up and screams "MOMMY,YOU FIXED MY DRESS IT'S A DREAM COME TRUE!"

For that alone I would do it ALL again.
It's great being a mom and what's even greater is having cool kids.

Button Belt

My sister an I seen this idea on Pinterest... So we had to do it!
We bought a pack of buttons from Joann's along with 3" think elastic, black thread, and hook and eye fasteners. It took a whole day (about 10 hours) to finish because we hand stitched each button. Using a sewing machine I serge and sewed down each side, then using the hook and eye fasteners we stitched those on on either side of the elastic (belt).
